قدم الاتحاد البرازيلي لكرة القدم، الخميس، القميص الجديد للسيليساو في بطولة كأس القارات التي ستقام الصيف المقبل، بواسطة نجم المنتخب نيمار. وصممت شركة «نايك» للأدوات الرياضية القميص الأصفر التقليدي للسامبا البرازيلية، ويحمل على الجانب الأيسر شعار الاتحاد وفوقه النجوم الخمس التي تعبر عن عدد مرات فوز البرازيل بكأس العالم. وفي الجزء الداخلي أسفل الرقبة يحمل القميص شعارًا بشكل «طائر الكناري» باللون الأخضر ومتوج بخمس نجوم وفوقه عبارة ولد للعب كرة القدم. قُدم العرض علي شواطئ كوباكابانا في ريو دي جانيرو، وكان نيمار هو أول من يرتدي الثوب الجديد.

بمناسبة احتفالها بالذكرى الخمسين على تأسيسها، تشارككم الجمعية الثقافية الاجتماعية النسائية بمجموعة صور أخذت على مدى خمسين عاماً..

توثيق الدور التطوعي الذي قادته المرأة الكويتية في خدمة المجتمع منذ 1963

لإلهام وتمكين وتشجيع جيل جديد من النساء للتطوع في الدفاع عن قضايا المرأة وخدمة المجتمع

عطاء المرأة لا يحصى وطموحها لا حدود له. وأكثر من يقدر ذلك هو الجمعية الثقافية الاجتماعية النسائية التي افتتحت أول حضانة في الكويت في عام 1974 لتعتني بأطفال النساء العاملات

لأن تعليم المرأة يعادل تعليم جيل كامل، حرصت الجمعية الثقافية الاجتماعية النسائية على افتتاح فصول لمحو أمية النساء عام

1987

لم يكن العمل الخيري غريباً على الكويت وأهلها في أي وقت، وإذا كان عمل الخير في خدمة العروبة والقومية فالجمعية هي أول المبادرين، كما عملت في السبعينات عندما استضافت الفنانة فاتن حمامة وكوكب الشرق أم كلثوم لجمع التبرعات دعماً للمجهود الحربي

بعد التعليم والتدريب، يأتي التثقيف والتمكين حتى تمتلك المرأة كل المؤهلات للعب دور فعال في المجتمع. وبالنسبة لندوات التوعية السياسية، فقد بدأتها الجمعية في السبعينات بندوة حول المشاركة السياسية للمرأة

قبل عام 2005 لم يكن للمرأة الكويتية الحق في المشاركة السياسية. وبفضل التحركات والمطالبات الشعبية من المرأة الكويتية وداعميها، كالتجمهر عند المخافر محاولة للتسجيل في قيود الناخبين، حصلت قضية حقوق المرأة السياسية على الانتباه الذي تستحقه وولدت الوعي السياسي والإنساني في المجتمع تجاه ضرورة حصول المرأة على حقها في المشاركة السياسية، وهو ما نالته في مايو 2005

لم تبدر كل هذه النشاطات والفعاليات من جهة حكومية أو تجارية، بل من جمعية نفع عام تعمل عضواتها المتطوعات على إدارتها وتمويلها من النشاطات الخيرية، مثل “طبق الخير” السنوي

“حجاب الكاراتيه” يظهر لأول مرة بعد ضغط الإمارات

شهد اليوم الختامي لبطولة الأهلي الدولية الثانية للكاراتيه، الكشف لأول مرة عن الحجاب الرسمي للفتيات المسلمات، الذي تم اعتماده من قبل الاتحاد الدولي، أخيرا، بمبادرة من الاتحاد الإماراتي.

وقال نائب رئيس اتحاد التايكواندو والكاراتيه دعيج رئيسي لصحيفة الإمارات اليوم، «جاء تصميم الحجاب المعتمد من قبل الاتحاد الدولي، ليكمل المبادرة الإماراتية التي طرحت الصيف الماضي على هامش كأس العالم في باريس، بهدف السماح للمرأة بارتداء الحجاب ضمن منافسات البطولات الدولية للكاراتيه».

مضيفاً «أسهمت المبادرة الإماراتية في تعزيز وجود اللاعبات المحجبات بشكل فاعل في البطولات الدولية، منها ما شهدته دولية الأهلي التي شهدت زيادة في أعداد اللاعبات المحجبات الممارسات للعبة إلى نسبة الضعف، مع العلم بأن التصميم الجديد قد وضع بعد موافقة جميع اتحادات البلدان الإسلامية، لما يتمتع به الحجاب من خصوصية لدى المرأة المسلمة».

يأتي هذا بعد تاريخ طويل من معوقات كانت تقابل اللاعبات المسلمات المحجبات أثناء منافساتهن حيث كان يتعين عليهن خلع الحجاب أثناء المنافسات.

Park Bench Workout Routine

Although park benches and tables are meant for sitting, this routine is no picnic. You’ll feel the burn within the first minute and if performed two to three times a week, the results will be self evident. So when the weather is right, go outside and give this one a go!

1) STEP UP BACK KICK

Starting with your right leg on the bench, step onto the bench (pushing into your heel) and as you rise, lift your arms ups and kick your left leg up and behind you. Step down with the left leg and begin again. Make sure to keep your core engaged.

Perform this 20x and then repeat with other leg.

2) STEP UP SIDE KICK

Starting with your right leg on the bench, push into your heel and lift up. Kick the left leg out to the side as the arms raise up and forward. Step back down to starting position. Keep core engaged.

Perform this 20x and then repeat with the other leg.

3) DECLINE PLANK KNEE CIRCLES

With your feet on the bench and hands on the floor, wider than your shoulders, lift one leg and pull the knee in towards your chest. Begin circling the knee, trying to touch each elbow. Take your time. Don’t rush through these. Make the circles as big as possible and take deep breaths. Keep core engaged.

Perform 5 circles in each direction and then switch legs.

4) DECLINE WIDE PUSH UPS

With your feet on bench and hands on the floor, wider than shoulders, bend your elbows out to the side trying to bring your chest to the floor. INHALE on the way down, and EXHALE on the way back up, pushing yourself back up to starting position. Keep core engaged.

Perform 5-10 pushups.

5) TRICEP CARDIO KICK

Turning away from the bench, place your hands on the bench (shoulder width apart) and
bend your elbows into a tricep dip. Lift one leg into the sky. Begin bouncing, bending and
straightening your elbows and alternating your kicks. Try to get as low as you can with the arms and kick up as high as you can with the legs.

Perform this for a total of 20 kicks and 20 dips.

6) Repeat the whole routine 2 more times!!!

Tools of the Trade

Besides brushes, there are a few other tools that you need to carry with you. These are tools that allow you to prepare and perfect every makeup application including tweezers, spatulas, curlers, and on-set disposables—all of which are crucial to your artistry. Most of these items are available at drugstores, makeup boutiques and online. Here are some of favorite essential tools and disposables.

Wedge Sponges

While I am not a fan of applying makeup with a sponge, I do love a wedge sponge for erasing mistakes, buffing out edges or blending down makeup. The softer non-latex material leaves no lines behind when you are working.

Disposable Mascara Wands

You can avoid contamination and danger of infection by using disposable wands to layer mascara on your client’s lashes. A great pro tip: Since we buy and love most mascaras because of the wand, you might want to save your applicators from your mascaras when you throw out the tube. You can clean and disinfect them after each use in place of your disposables.

Powder Puffs

Powder puffs work with powder, help absorb oils, and create a shine-free, poreless looking finish. These are great for setting makeup and can help with keeping your hands off your client’s face, breaking down your makeup application.

Cotton Pad and Cotton Swabs

These items are inexpensive and great to have on set for blending, shaping, or removing makeup for quick changes or to clean a face.

Slant Tweezers

For easy clean up of a brow or the application of a faux lash, these tweezers work wonders. Their slanted tip offers precision, making them great for removing unwanted hair on the lip or anywhere on the face. Like brushes, they are available in many price points.

Eyelash Curlers

This tool is an easy way to open up the eyes and make them appear brighter and wider. Every artist has their preference with lash curlers. Many lean towards the Shu Uemura curler,  Kevyn actually designed the Shu Uemura curler and wanted to develop something bigger to accommodate eyes of all shapes and sizes for his own line. His curler allows for any kind of contour, but uses the same silicone technology as the Shu Uemura. Billy B’s Lash Curler is the perfect size and does not have the metal bits on the outside that prevent you from curling an entire lash.

Metal Spatula

Keeping your kit hygienic requires a steadfast commitment to refrain from double dipping your brushes, thus contaminating your product. A spatula can help you remove what you are working with from its container. Then, you can place it onto a palette and have fresh, unpolluted product at the ready.

Mixing Palette

For mixing and custom matching as well as for health and safety precautions, a mixing palette is an invaluable tool.

Safety Scissors

For lashes or any other cutting that comes up, these can be an on-set lifesaver.
