Designed and constructed in 2010 by San Francisco-based artist Laurel Roth, these life-like peacocks were built from common items found in a beauty supply store: Barrettes, fake nails, hair clips, faux lashes, and nail polish. While the deeper meaning of the installation juxtaposes biological with artificial ornamentation, no one can argue the radically awesome use of materials.
