SWEET TOOTH: French tea salon Ladurée has tapped designer Alber Elbaz to art direct a special macaroon set. The box contains eight pink bubble gum-flavored macaroons, a flavor that the designer created with Ladurée pastry chef Vincent Lemains.
The collectable boxes are adorned with sketched faces of playful women and fastened with a grosgrain ribbon. The delicacies will go on sale on Sept. 25 in France, in time for Paris Fashion Week. The U.K, U.S and Japan will follow on Sept. 28.
Elbaz joins a long list of designers who collaborated with the French house: Tsumori Chisato, Christian Louboutin, John Galliano, Marni, Christian Lacroix, Alexis Mabille, Sonia Rykiel and Chantal Thomass
