Loathe or Love: Magnetic Nail Polish

Novelty nail polish has always been a favorite among tweens and experimental Beauties (mood polish, anyone?). Now, better technology gives this rather kitschy concept trend-setting potential. Not sure how magnetic nail polish actually works? The formula contains metallic particles that react and move when they interact with a specific kind of magnet. After applying the polish, simply hover the magnet (found on top of the polish cap) over your nails before they dry. The designs will look different depending on how you move the magnet (maintain a similar movement pattern to create a more uniform design, like the one below, or go more abstract with each nail, like we did above). You don’t need a base coat or top coat with this polish, which comes off easily with acetone. With a wide range of shades, it’s easy to create sci-fi nails in a flash! Do you love seeing beauty and science work together?
