Airlines misplace luggage and cars have been broken into, but what if the lost or stolen item ends up being your pricey makeup kit? If you have homeowner’s or renter’s insurance, you may be able to add an extension to your policy that covers your makeup kit—even when traveling on site. Otherwise, you might need to purchase additional business liability insurance. Depending on the country, state, and company you are working with, most employers may insure a makeup kit if it is worth, on average, between $1500 and $2500.
