Ponytails aren't just for the gym anymore. Now every girl's easy, go-to hairstyle is gaining in popularity on the runway as well as the red carpet. From casual to glammed up, here are favorite ponytail inspirations

Ponytails come in all shapes and sizes on the runway. Pulled back high and tight or low and loose at the nape of the neck, a pony always works. It can look fierce and strong or sweet and demure.

Reese went for a super high ponytail with extensions on the red carpet. She keeps the look chic by creating lots of volume at the front of her head to balance out the pony.

A textured side ponytail is a great casual look for day or night. Don't put it too far off center (this isn't the '80s), but swinging your pony to the side is a great look.

Kate also opts for a high ponytail but gives it a bit of a curl. She adds volume to the front of her hair to make it red carpet worthy.
