Jem and the holograms

Girl crushes. I know most of us have them. In my case the crushes changes through time.

During my childhood years, it was Jem aka Jerrica from the ever famous cartoon Jem. Every  girl (who's around my age that is) wanted to be Jem during the 80's. She is a rock star with a heart of gold. Her signature pink eye makeup is legendary.

Ooohh, and the 80's fashion?? Yeah Jem and the Holograms (and the Misfits too) were trend setters! Look at these outfits!

Jem, also known as Jem and the Holograms, is an American animated television series that ran from 1985 to 1988 in U.S. first-run syndication. The show is about music company owner Jerrica Benton, her singer alter-ego Jem, her band the Holograms, and their adventures.
The series was a joint collaboration by Hasbro, Marvel Productions and Sunbow Productions, the same team responsible for G.I. Joe and Transformers. The creator of the series was Christy Marx, who also had been a staff writer for the aforementioned programs. The animation was provided by the Japanese animation studio Toei Doga (now Toei Animation).
