Get Gorgeous Hat Hair

Hats are the chicest way to cover up a bad hair day, but they’re also fun to incorporate into your overall look. We show you three ways to style and maintain your locks for any haute headgear.
1. Soft Curls
Whether you’re wearing an unstructured beanie or a wide-brimmed sun bonnet, we love soft, tumbling curls with any head topper. Since your hat covers only the top of your head, be sure to focus the curl from the mid-length of your hair to the tips.
2. Side Braid
A side braid is a great way to add glamour and style to more masculine hat shapes such as fedoras, boaters, and newsboy caps. Keep the plait loose and tousled for a modern, unfussy texture.
3. Low Chignon
For a more elegant approach to millinery, complement your favorite period headpiece with a twisted bun at the nape of your neck. This type of hairstyle goes well with brimless or vintage hats.

Beauty Tip: When a hat causes your locks to go limp and static to rein free, it’s time for some damage control. First, brush your hair with a paddle brush and mist lightly with hair spray to take away any dents in your hair. Use Static Guard or any hydrating hair product to reduce electrically charged flyaways. For a volume boost, flip over flattened hair and lightly tease it at the crown.
